Land Acknowledgement
I am grateful to live and work on the traditional lands of the Hatiwendaronk (Hat-i-wen-DA-ronk), the Haudenosaunee (Hoe-den-no-SHOW-nee), and the Anishinaabe (Ah-nish-ih-NAH-bey), including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The Niagara Region is home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island (North America) and we recognize that we must do more to learn about the rich history of this land so that we can better understand our roles as residents, neighbours, partners and caretakers. I stand in solidarity with murdered and missing Indigenous women, girls, transgender and two-spirit people.
Values Statement
Mental health and trauma is heavily influenced by social and political factors, and acknowledging intersectionality and systemic oppression is integral to my work.
Black and Indigenous people, people of color, 2SLGBTQIA+ folx, and people with dis/abilities and/or neurodivergence are welcomed and affirmed in my practice. I am also supportive of clients of all cultures, faith, religious and non-religious backgrounds.
