“Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
– George Bernard Shaw
It’s possible to create a life free from chronic emotional and physical pain, fear and exhaustion.
If you had a magic wand, what would you want more of in your life ?
I support individuals who are stuck or struggling to resolve issues that are keeping them from a joyful, rewarding life. I have received education and training in a holistic, strengths-based, attachment and trauma-informed practice with a focus on bridging western evidence-based neuroscience with ancient, traditional ways of healing. My work is inspired by so many theories, experiences and practitioners. I have basic training in EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing) and I am trained in Level 1 of DBR (Deep Brain Reorienting). My work is also informed by parts work and Internal Family Systems.
I am particularly interested in the connection between the mind and body with respect to supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, chronic pain & illness and life transitions. I primarily use trauma therapy approaches like EMDR in addition to cognitive behaviour therapy and parts work to support my clients.
I completed a Masters of Social Work in Indigenous Trauma & Resiliency and began working as a Psychotherapist in 2021. I earned a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University in 2001, and a Master of Education from the Ontario Institute of Education (OISE) with the University of Toronto in 2008. I am an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Secondary teacher, as well as a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario Association of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I am dedicated to continuous learning and professional development as a Psychotherapist and Life Coach. I engage in regular peer consultation and mentorship from colleagues in the field. I am grateful to be a member of a profession that values a commitment to one’s own growth, healing and self development.
I offer a unique blend of psychotherapeutic supports for clients with a range of mental health concerns in addition to a life coaching approach that helps focus on the present and the future.
If you’re ready to take the leap and really committing to grab the life you want, I can help you break out of old patterns, plan for the obstacles life throws at us, and help you find your way.
